Where I watched it: Amazon Prime
Cringe comedy taken to new heights. "I Love My Dad" is about a father who catfishes his own son in an attempt to reconnect. Oh... and it's based on a true story... that happened to the writer/director/guy playing the son in the movie.
This movie isn't going to be for everyone, especially if you find it hard to stomach mass amounts of cringe. Personally, I found it hilarious.
It's clever in is visual storytelling especially when most of the dialogue is being delivered through texts and online messages.
Good performances throughout, Patton Oswalt really goes the distance in this one.
